How Does it Work?
Store cashiers sell paper sneaker pin-ups for $1 to customers at the point of sale. Purchased pin-ups are then prominently displayed within the store to encourage additional customer participation.
Why is it Important?
The ALS Association’s pin-up program is designed to educate the public about Lou Gehrig’s Disease and raise funds to support research, patient services programs, public education and advocacy efforts.
Who is an Idea Retail Partner?
The most successful pin-up partners are companies with multiple, high-traffic retail outlets. GROCERY CHAINS, DRUG STORES (Walgreens, Dwayne Reed) and CLOTHING RETAILERS (TJ Maxx, Dick’s Sporting Goods). The more people that visit the store, the better we are able to meet our goals of creating awareness and raising funds.
